Create, Explore & Imagine at the Seven Hearths Museum! Join Local artist Shannon Blanton in this interactive drawing and painting class on the gorgeous grounds of the Kent Historical Society. Experiment with mixed media projects and creative storytelling techniques in this process-focused, confidence-building supportive atmosphere. No prior art experience is necessary – just a creative spirit! For children ages 6-12.

Blanton is a visual artist based in Northwest Connecticut who has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions nationally and collected internationally. She was also named 2026 Reader’s Choice top visual artist by Litchfield Magazine. Shannon received her BA from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky in Art History with a focus on medieval iconography and studio work. She also received a certificate in Appraisal Studies of Fine and Decorative Art from New York University.
