Homespun Kent: Revolutionary Households, Opening Reception

Join us as we kick off our long-term exhibit with a community bring-your-own picnic reminiscent of the original 1776 militia training exposition, which will include musical entertainment, activities for children, and period appropriate beverages.  Activities for children are planned, as well docent-led tours by volunteers in period dress.  Hearth cooking will be demonstrated (for educational purposes only).  Stay tuned for more details about other “maker” demos connected to this exhibition, to be scheduled throughout the summer!
